Thanksgiving is a time for family and friends. Please allow extra time for our experts to answer your questions. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at NetWellness.

Our Experts will answer questions about:

Individuals with neurologic disabilities (e.g., stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury) and musculoskeletal disabilities or conditions (e.g., low back pain) constitute an appreciable segment of the national population. For example, stroke is the leading cause of disability in the United States, affecting over 700,000 new individuals annually, and resulting in over $30 billion/year in health care costs. Moreover, due to an aging population, and improved acute-level care, the number of individuals living with disabilities, as well as the incidence of disability, are each expected to increase exponentially in the next decade.

Physical medicine and rehabilitation is dedicated to improving function and quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Through various cognitive, physical, pharmacologic and psychological therapies, as well as ongoing research efforts, substantial progress is being made to reduce the effects of disabilities on individuals' daily lives and/or cure disabling conditions.

Our team of doctors and therapists will answer questions concerning rehabilitation and restoration of function as well as issues related to quality of life for most acute and chronic diseases and injuries. In particular, diseases and injuries of the brain, spinal cord, and limbs including amputation as well as management of pain based on these diseases or injuries can be addressed.
