Dr. Jack S. Elder received his MD from the University of Oklahoma. He completed his urology residency and obtained special training in pediatric urology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He also completed a pediatric urology fellowship at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Elder is board certified by the American Board of Urology. Until recently, Dr. Elder was the Carter Kissell Professor & Vice Chairman of the Department of Urology, Case School of Medicine and Chief of Pediatric Urology at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Elder recently was appointed Chairman of Urology and Associate Director of the Vattikuti Urology Institute at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, MI. Dr. Elder is a past-president of the American Association of Pediatric Urology, and is currently President of the Society for Pediatric Urology. His special interests include: Pediatric Urology, Genital and Urinary Tract Reconstruction (hypospadias, epispadias, bladder exstrophy, hydronephrosis, vesicoureteral reflux), Pediatric Genitourinary Tumors, and Inguinal Disorders, including undescended testes, hernia, and hydrocele.
