Melissa Butson graduated from the American School of Paris and received a bachelor's degree in Biology from Washington University. She earned master's degrees in Microbiology from the University of Michigan and in Genetic Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Bioethics at Case Western Reserve University where she is employed at the University Memory and Aging Center.
