Dr Best is the Co-Medical Director of The OSU Sports Medicine Center and Professor of Family Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Best clinical research includes Elbow injuries, rehabilitation strategies for hamstring injuries, effect of aging on muscle injuries and evidence-based sports medicine. His research interests include muscle injury and healing and has published articles in journals like the American Journal of Sports Medicine, Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise and Biomechanics to name a few. He went to The University of Western Ontario and graduated with a M.D. degree. He also went to Duke University and graduated with a Ph.D in Philosophy, specializing in Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Best is board certified by CAQ Sports Medicine, Family Practice, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider. He belongs to American College of Sports Medicine, Canadian Academy of Sports Medicine, American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
