Dr. Patrick Getty received his MD from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Getty completed all of his post graduate training at the University of Chicago Medical Center including an internship in Surgery, a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery, and a research fellowship in Orthopaedic Oncology and Molecular Oncology. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedics in the School of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Getty is the Director of Graduate Orthopaedic Education in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Case School of Medicine. He has published numerous articles, book chapters and abstracts, has lectured extensively (locally and nationally), and has served as an investigator in several research projects. Dr. Getty is also a member of several professional organizations. In his practice, Dr. Getty treats both children and adults with benign or malignant tumors of bone or soft tissues in the extremities. His areas of expertise and research interest centers on amputation vs. limb sparing surgery in cancer patients.
