Research Interests: My program of research centers on developing effective interventions to promote and sustain sexual health among women. I am in the process of developing and testing interventions using Johnsons' Self-regulation Theory to promote more cognitive paths of coping in sexual encounters rather than emotive coping paths. I am also interested in the psychological effects of contracting sexually transmitted infections on the individual and preventing harmful psychosocial sequelae that may result.
