Joanna M. Brell received her MD at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Texas. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency and a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. Dr. Brell is currently an Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Case School of Medicine and a medical oncologist with the Ireland Cancer Center at University Hosptials. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Brell serves on several hospital committees including the Ireland Cancer Center Developmental Therapeutics Program, the Clinical Practice Committee, and the Clinical Trials Development and Review Committee. Dr. Brell is also a volunteer physician for Care Alliance, Inc. Medical Clinic at the City Mission, in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2003 she was recognized as the Care Alliance Volunteer of the Year.
