Dr. Prakash Gatta joined the University of Cincinnati's Department of Surgery in November 2007. He graduated from the Seth G.S. Medical College at the University of Bombay in 2000 with his medical degree. In 2006, he completed his residency in General Surgery at University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. Prior to joining the University of Cincinnati, he completed a clinical fellowship in Gastrointestinal & Minimally Invasive Surgery in the Legacy Health System in Portland, Oregon. His special interests are in minimally invasive surgery of the gastrointestinal tract with a particular interest in anti-reflux procedures, treatment of dysphagia, gastric and esophageal cancer.
