Smitha S. Krishnamurthi received her BA at Western Reserve College. She then received her MD at the University of Pennsylvania. She has also completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and a fellowship in Medical Oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Krishnamurthi is an assistant professor of medicine at Case Western Reserve University and is the Gastrointestinal Cancers Disease Team Leader at University Hospitals Case Medical Center. Dr. Krishnamurthi is also the Director of the Clinical Trials Core Facility for the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. She specializes in Medical Oncology, and is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. Her research interests are in developmental therapeutics and gastrointestinal cancers.
