Meg Gerstenblith, MD is an Assistant Professor at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and a Board Certified Dermatologist at University Hospitals Case Medical Center of Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to seeing patients, she conducts groundbreaking research to further understand the etiology of melanoma, the deadliest variety of skin cancer. Dr. Gerstenblith's melanoma research, which will be a central initiative of Case Western Reserve University's Skin Cancer Research Institute, aims to revolutionize both the prevention and treatment of this aggressive skin cancer. Dr. Gerstenblith also plays a principal role in the UH Seidman Cancer Center’s multidisciplinary team approach to comprehensive melanoma care. Dr. Gerstenblith received her Bachelor of Arts Degree Magna Cum Laude from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and her Medical Degree Alpha Omega Alpha from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Predoctoral Fellowship and the Award for Excellence in Teaching of Medical Students by a Resident from the Johns Hopkins Department of Dermatology.
