Research:

Clinical research: My main focus of research is in the field of breast cancer prevention and treatment. I am currently involved in the following ongoing clinical trials:
1. Pilot study to evaluate the effect of Celecoxib on mammographic density in high-risk pre-menopausal women.- Co-Investigator
2. Phase I study of paclitaxel with PS-341 in advanced solid tumors
Translational research (2003-2005): My main area of interest is the role of epigenetic modification of tumor suppressor genes in breast cancer. I worked in the molecular biochemistry lab for two years under the mentorship of Dr. Samson Jacob PhD, studying the role of tumor suppressor gene, PTPRO in breast cancer.
