NetWellness joins the Home Safety Council in recognizing June as Home Safety Month.
According to the CDC's National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC), unintentional injuries are a leading cause of death for Americans of all ages, regardless of gender, race, or economic status.
Many more sustain nonfatal unintentional injuries (more than 27 million people in 2003). The physical and emotional effects of these injuries can be extensive and sometimes life-changing.
