How can I find answers related to my specific health question?
Searching NetWellness before asking a health question can help you find the information you are looking for much faster! Try these three tips:
How do I ask a question through "Ask an Expert"?
If you are not able to locate an article or previously asked question that answers your question, you may be able to ask it through our "Ask an Expert" feature. Before asking a question, please review our Answer Policy and our Privacy Policy.
To ask a question, select a relevant health topic from the NetWellness homepage. Once you enter the specific health topic, look for the "Ask a Question" link on the right hand side of the page. From there, you can send your question to our team of NetWellness experts. If you see a message stating, "This area is not currently accepting questions," then you should visit again at a later date.
How do I find the answer to my "Ask an Expert" question?
If you submitted an email address with your "Ask an Expert" question, you will receive an email from expert@netwellness.org when the answer is posted on our website. This email will have a web link directly to your question.
If you did not submit an email address, you will have to visit the specific health topic where you submitted your question and click the "More" link in the blue box on the right hand side of the page. From there, you can browse through the questions to find yours.
Please keep in mind that NetWellness is a free, voluntary service, so it may take several days for our experts to respond to your question.
Can I ask a health question through the Comments/Feedback page?
The Comment/Feedback page is limited to comments about how NetWellness works. Any suggestions you may have about improving the website or stories about how NetWellness has helped you are welcome on this page. All comments which are entered through the Comments/Feedback page are directed to the NetWellness technical staff. These comments/questions are not sent to NetWellness Experts and will not be answered.
If you have a question about health, please follow the directions under the How do I ask a question through "Ask an Expert"? section above.
How do I use the Health Reference Library?
In addition to many pages of original content NetWellness also provides links to many other sources of health related information that has been reviewed for quality, accuracy, and currency. Browsing these links may help you find the health information you are searching for. Some of the quality health sources are the A.D.A.M. Health Illustrated Encyclopedia, ClinicalTrials.gov, MedlinePlus, OSU Patient Education Materials, Merck Publications, and PubMed. Visit our Health Reference Library for more information.
