Pimple Rash

10/23/2000

Question:

I have an embarrassing rash on my rear end. Small to large pimples occur on my butt, but nowhere else on my body(otherwise clear skin) Do I have a vitamin deficiency or is there some other cure for this. They cause scars and I want to stop them now!

Answer:

Sometimes rash and pimples are caused by inflammation around the hair follicles. The follicles can become irritated due to moisture and friction that the skin experiences during daily life. Once the skin is irritated, pimples can occur. I believe that the condition can be treated so that it is no longer problematic. However, I recommend that you see a dermatologist to get the proper treatment.
