Low sperm count

Question:

I had a problem of my testical at the age of 12 and now i am 30 years of age . I had only 1 testicale and that was not in the proper place. it was located under my stomach on left hand side. we went to doctor and he oprated me and placed my testical on the right place that is in the untterius. I got married at the age of 27 and now after three of marriage my wife is not able to concieve, so we decided to go for a check up. all the tests for my wife are ok but i had the problem of quite low sperm count. below are the test resultes for yr ref: sperm concentration: 0.5M/ml Motility : 0% Normal Morphology : 10 % Volume : 1 ml Viscosity : normal , pH : 8 pus cells : 6-8 , Histiocytes : 3-4 recently me and my wife been to a fertilty specialisthe said that my sperm are becoming low day by day. now here my question is that what is the exact reason for problem? is there any treatment for above ? also i am quite confuse about the statement of the doctor that is my sperm count is becoming low day by day. ? please help.....

Answer:

Your history of an abnormally located single testicle is the probable reason for your low sperm count and poor sperm quality. From the information you have given me, I am not sure why your doctor believes your sperm count is dropping "day by day" but I do not have nearly the information he has so I cannot refute it. ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) is a possible way to overcome your low (but present) sperm count. Individual sperm can be injected into an egg from your wife and then implanted into your wife`s uterus. This technique is very effective for couples with male factor infertility.
