Lupus |
Lupus05/06/2004 |
I had a total hysterechtamy in Sept. 2003. Since my surgery I have not been the same. I have just been diagnosed with Lupus and I am wondering if it could occur after major surgery such as the one i recieved. Any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Lupus is a systemic disease which is more frequent in women of child bearing age and estrogen has influence on the activity of disease. Also lupus may flare during pregnancy. It is unusual for lupus to start after menopause (natural or surgical, total hysterectomy). If patients had lupus before a major surgery and it was quiet, stable it might flare with the stress of surgery.
