Repairing a effusion joint

09/30/2004

Question:

HOW DOES THE EFFUSION JOINT GET REPAIRED??

Answer:

There is no such thing as an "effusion joint". You may be referring to an effusion in a joint which means excess fluid in the joint. This can be withdrawn through a needle. To eliminate the effusion the cause has to be determined. Most of the 100 different types of arthritis can cause a joint effusion.
