Coughing After Exercise

02/14/2006

Question:

I`m in very good physical health. In fact I`m a fitness instructor. But after teaching an intense cardio workout class I start coughing.

And, by the way, I don`t have asthma.

Answer:

Although you may not have asthma on a regular basis, you may be experiencing "Exercise-Induced Asthma". Coughing after exercise is a symptom of this condition. Consult your physician to find out the cause of your coughing.
