Can Smoking Hasten The Onset of AIDS?05/09/2006 |
Hi. I want to know if it`s true that smoking cigarettes is lethal to people who have full-blown AIDS. If that's true for HIV+ people who smoke, can it hasten the onset to AIDS?
People with AIDS seem to have a higher rate of cancer, probably because their immune systems cannot remove the first cancer cells. So, smoking cigarettes is even more hazardous for people with AIDS than for people without AIDS. I am not aware that smoking hastens the onset of AIDS.
