Night sweats

05/16/2006 08:04AM

Question:

Are there other causes of Night Sweats besides HIV?

Answer:

Yes, there are many causes of night sweats. First, if the temperature is too hot when you sleep, you can sweat. Second, almost any thing that causes a fever can cause sweating at night. If you temperature rises while you are under blankets and then "breaks", it is often followed by sweating. There are way too many causes to list them. If you have night sweats for more than 1 week and there is no cause, you should go see your doctor. If you are feeling bad, go see your doctor sooner.
