Effect of smoking on teeth and gums

What kind of problems can smoking cause for teeth and gums?

Answer:

Smoking can potentially cause many problems. They range from bad breath to oral cancer.

I will list the most common problems:

(1) bad breath

(2) staining of the teeth

(3) more rapid development of tarter

(4) affect the attachment of bone & soft tissue to the teeth. ie: receeding gums which can cause sensitvity to hot & cold

(5) delayed healing

(6) six times more likely to develope Oral Cancer

(7) periodontal disease

The verdict, Don't Smoke.
