What kind of problems can smoking cause for teeth and gums?
Smoking can potentially cause many problems. They range from bad breath to oral cancer.I will list the most common problems:
(1) bad breath
(2) staining of the teeth
(3) more rapid development of tarter
(4) affect the attachment of bone & soft tissue to the teeth. ie: receeding gums which can cause sensitvity to hot & cold
(5) delayed healing
(6) six times more likely to develope Oral Cancer
(7) periodontal disease
The verdict, Don't Smoke.
