Question:

i have suffered with lower back pain now for nearly eight years my doctor only ever sent me to physio and this never helped one physio explained that i had an in flamed sacrum and thats why i have chose to seek more information on this subject. i would be gratefull of some more feed back on this matter.

Answer:

Your sacrum is an arrow shaped, large bony structure located at the bottom of your spine, and connects to your pelvis (it is where your “tailbone” also known as your coccyx is located).

The inflammation could occur within a number of areas of the sacrum and we would need more information to know where it is occurring and what it means. Hopefully this gives you an idea of the structure in which this inflammation resides, though.
