Should I be concerned about high platelets (407 range)?
It is very hard to say anything very specific about your condition with just a lab. That being said, the platelet count you describe (407) is likely just above normal and not significant.
The platelet count can go up as a response to stress or illness, which I would guess is the most likely explanation. For a better answer, you should talk to your physician who ordered the blood, and also arrange for any follow up that might be needed.
