04/23/2008

Question:

I have a problem in my middle back. I have gone to many doctors and the problem won’t go away. are there any exercises I can do to help relieve some of the tension if it’s muscular. What do I do if it’s in my nerves or in the bones them selves.

Answer:

A complete history, physical examination and review of radiologic imaging are important factors in diagnosing and subsequently treating back pain. There are numerous causes for low back pain that vary depending on age, activity level, history of trauma or surgery… Therefore, it is important to see a specialist who manages back pain for appropriate treatment planning.
