Spotted for 3 weeks

04/28/2008 01:29PM

Question:

on february 27th was the first day of my last real period. I started my next pack of birth control pills on 2/9, 2 weeks into my pack of pills i forgot to take it 2 days in a row so then i started to spot, i kept taking the pill for a couple more days and then decided to just stop it and just let my period come since i wouldn`t stop spotting anyways but it never really did, i just spotted for almost 3 weeks, last day i spotted was 4/12/08 it was never enough to have to wear a pad or anything and i didn`t spot every day, it was mostly always a brownish color, just a couple times it was bright red. I have been sexually active the entire time. Do I count those weeks of spotting as my period? I don`t know when i should expect my next period now and am scared i might be pregnant. the week of april 13th thru the 19th my breast where very sore but then it went away. what can all this mean? also my doctor switched my pill 2 months ago
