Very teeny tiny bump on the lip05/01/2008 10:26AM |
Hi lately i have been getting very teeny tiny bumps that are very unnoticable. Nobody can see them. Sometimes I can`t even see them unless I look in the mirror very closely. Sometimes I try to pop them but nothing comes out then they heal. They don`t hurt or burn or nothing.I don`t get any tingling sensation and I never had a cold sore or anything like this in my life. They don`t come in clusters either their are usually two bumps or one. And they don`t get bigger. Is something wrong with me because I am very scared. My friends tell me that I have nothing to worry about but I just want to make sure because I get very paranoid when it comes to my health. Please help me
It is quite possible that these are normal anatomic structures that you are identifying, such as Fordyce granules (little oil glands in the upper lip) or openings of the minor salivary glands (on the inner surfaces of the upper and lower lip). If you really want to know what these are and get some reassurance, you should make an appointment to see an oral pathologist.
