are endometrial cells cancerious? do they have to be removed? can the procedure be done as a same day surgery procedure? What will happen if you do not have them removed?
Endometrial cells are the cells that line the uterus. They are not cancerous, but can become cancerous. It is abnormal to have them on a Pap smear in older, postmenopausal women. This is usually evaluated by a biopsy of the lining of the uterus and cervix.
