CT Scan/Lump

05/09/2008 10:13AM

Question:

I was taking amoxicillin (in place of augmentin). Then after a few days, another lump showed up on back of the neck. The first lump is bigger now not smaller. That one is at back of the head at the hairline and the new one just below it. Do I need a CT scan?

Answer:

Thank you for visiting NetWellness. Any neck mass present for more than 2 weeks is considered abnormal and should be evaluated. You need a good head and neck evaluation, possibly a scan, and maybe even a biopsy. Make sure you see your physician.
