GFR levels

05/18/2008 06:35AM

Question:

What would be the normal GFR for my age group? I am a 58 year old white female. I know GFR declines with age. I would appreciate your help.

Answer:

Usually GFR declines by 1 ml/min per year after age of 45. If normal GFR is 100 to 120 ml/min, then subtract 13 from it to get your GFR at 58 years.
