Question:

I had a mamogram where they discovered microcalification in my right breast. Followed up in six months, breast was stable no change, another six months no change in calcification breast is stable. Six months check again and there is no evidence of anything. Drs office told me that they can just disappear on its own. Is that true?

Answer:

It is rare that calcifications completely disappear, but they may become more difficult to see or remain stable.  They might seem to disappear if the breast was not compressed as much, and dense breast tissue could obscure the calcifications.
