hi im about 2 undergo a minor op next month 2remove a mandibular tori and was told that they maycome back, andthere is a possibility thatthere ouldb sum lingual numbness is this right pls advise thanx

Answer:

The risk of numbness due to ligual nerve injury is very low with the removal of mandibular tori. However, I cannot quantify the risk without an exam.

Mandibular lingual tori do not grow back once removed.
