Alcoholism06/18/2008 11:33AM |
This was very interesting and helpful. You had Memory loss on possible complications. Which that is what I`m trying to find out. My husband did an MRI and Doctor said shrinkage of the brain. What besides memory loss, confusion can we look forward to? What will be the conditions to follow? Thank you.
Thank you for your question. Alcoholism can cause many brain changes including memory loss, brain shrinkage (atrophy), balance problems, numbness and loss of feeling in the hands and feet, etc. The good news is that many of these are quite reversable ... given sobriety, a well balanced diet, and multiple vitamins.
