Colon Cancer

Blood from colonoscopy

11/17/2008

Question:

The doctor found some blood from the scope but dismissed it as saying it was probably a hemorrhoid - so should I worry? I don`t have bleeding but now I`m wondering.

Answer:

It is probably from either a hemorrhoid or small tear from the anal area. If the colonoscopy was otherwise normal, you should not worry.
