after afall at work i developed recurrin cellulitus ,lipodermatcerosis and recuring ulceration in my rght lowr leg 4 years ago .i was offered de bridment or below knee ampution, said it was my choice to be made .i seen everyone concerned .ichose ampution, iwas i hospital for 5 weeks on pre op drugs then told surgeon had pulled out .that was a year ago ive been hospitalised 3 times since and still no better. no work ,family life social life etc and desperatly looking for a sympathetic surgeon to do the job . do you think ive been treated fairly ,or should be left house bound im only 40
This website is not an appropriate forum to provide a medicolegal opinion regarding whether or not you've "been treated fairly." A person who has undergone a below-knee amputation would not be housebound solely as a result of that surgery. If you've not yet undergone an amputation surgery, consulting with one or more vascular or orthopedic surgeons should provide you with the relevant pros and cons to assist decision making at this time, specific to your medical situation. Your primary care physician is in the best position to discuss possible reasons for and propose solutions to your current "housebound" status.
