can lung cancer develop within 1 year of smoking?as of now i have quit smoking.plz tell me
First, congratulations on quitting smoking. You've beat one of the world's toughest addictions. Lung cancer can develop any time, with or without smoking. However, lung cancers caused by smoking usually take decades and smokers are more likely to get lung cancer 10 to 1 over non-smokers.Smoking actually contributes to 15 different kinds of cancer, and of course stroke, heart attack, emphysema, and a host of other problems.
