Radiating Pain Down My Right Leg

02/18/2009

Question:

About two months ago I noticed severe pain in my lower back. I kickbox for exercise each morning for 30 minutes. I thought it was a result of poor stretching. Each morning the back is tight and painful right at the base of my spine. After exercise and stretching I generally feel better but have recently started having a sharp pain shoot down my rt leg, generally immobolizing me for 2-4 seconds. The pain seems to have moved to the right. At first it was just in the morning, but now I get them anytime I sit or lay for more than 5 minutes. Does this indicate something wrong with my spine?
