Pain while walking

06/10/2009

Question:

My husband has pain on the bottoms of his feet while walking. He says it feels like pins and needles with every step he takes. He got inserts from his foot dr. but they only make it worse. I am wondering if it is a circulation problem, if so what to do? thanks!

Answer:

Hello. This sounds like it may be neuropathy which is related to nerves rather than blood vessels, particularly if diabetes is an issue. A visit to your doctor would easily evaluate if blood flow is adequate. Good luck!
