Inverted penis
06/11/2008 |
Question:
Can inverted penis be painful in a newborn? He is scheduled for surgery at nine months, but he cries all the time. They have run several tests and find nothing.
Answer:
The condition only would be painful if he has difficulty urinating or has a distended bladder because he has difficulty urinating. That concern can be answered by obtaining a renal and bladder ultrasound, which would be certain that the bladder is not distended, and that the kidneys look normal.
