Can I stop my progesterone supplement 10 week07/01/2009 |
i am 10 wk and 5 days pregnancy and taking progesterone supplement 200 mg twice a day .my dr asked me to stop them at 10 wks.but i heard placenta is fully mature at 12 weeks .i am really scared to stop them before 12 wk.does progestrone supplement harm fetus if taken till 12 weeks. should i stop now or can i take progestrone supplement till 12 weeks.
It is always best to follow the advice of your physician especially in a situation such as this. There are many approaches to the length of progesterone supplementation. Some say 10 weeks and other say 12 or longer.
