08/25/2009

Question:

two months pregnant been smoking crack. I want tokeep my baby is it to late. for my baby to be healthy? I really want to have this baby but i am so scared i already harmed it

Answer:

Crack cocaine causes blood vessels to the placenta to constrict.  This can cause vaginal bleeding, preterm labor and stillbirth.  The most important thing to do at this to seek care to stop using crack and to have your pregnancy evaluated to see what, if any effects, the cocaine has had.
