Sarcoidosis |
Treatment08/25/2009 |
how early should treatment begin
Sarcoidosis treatment is initiated for progressive disease involving vital organs (lungs, heart, eyes, etc.) or for disease manifestations (e.g., disfiguring facial skin disease) that are difficult to tolerate. Many patients require no treatment. Thus, there is no simple answer to your question, and each person needs to be evaluated independently to determine the need for treatment and the best type of treatment.
