Lung Cancer |
5mmX4 mm non-calcified nodule10/05/2009 |
I have a single 5mmX4mm non calcified nodule in my lower left lung. I have been getting annual low dose CT scans. I started the scans in 2/07. My last scan was 8/09 and it has not grown. The nodule is round with even edges. What is the chance that it is lung cancer? I used to be a smoker, but quit 12 years ago.
If it has not grown in 2 years, then it is benign. After 2 years of no growth, we usually don't get further scans.
I hope this helps.
