Ear, Nose, and Throat Disorders
It hurts to talk
hello, i have been using my voice much and in combination with alchol i started feeling unconfortable to talk. this was 3 months ago, 2 weeks ago i started with no drinken and not much speaking, i feel it has improved, i don`t always feel uncomfortable talking now. i do when i need to talk a bit more like in school.
how long does this take for that i can talk without pain again (im not hoarse) and do i need to see a ent specialist?
I would say that since you are getting better, lets just wait and see. It appears that the alcohol is contributing to the voice problem. I would think that you need to either eliminate alcohol or try to use moderation.
If your voice is not significantly better in 2-3 weeks, you should probably see an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist so that your vocal cords can be evaluated to make sure there is nothing serious going on around your voice box.
