09/24/2009

Question:

I have a friend who has Fredericks ataxia and she just found out she is pregnant. What are the chances of her giving birth naturally? Or should the baby be delivered by c-section.

Answer:

That question can be best answered by seeing a high-risk obstetrician who can make a individual assessment of the situation.
