Just Something I Wanted to Know

10/13/2009

Question:

If a person with Emphysema under went the lung reduction surgery has anyone tried to follow it with a short treatment with growth hormones 3 to 6 months would it possibly add anything to the Lung`s as you see I`m not a Dr. just a man still thinking any help would be very thankful for

Answer:

That is an interesting idea.  However, since growth hormones do not have any effect on the lungs, they would be unlikely to help after lung volume reduction surgery.
