10/13/2009

Question:

can you drink alcohol while on doxycycline?

Answer:

There is no direct interaction between doxycycline and alcohol. However, doxycycline is used to treat infections, and your body may not recover as quickly from an infection if you are consuming alcohol. You should limit your alcohol consumption appropriately, depending on the severity of illness.
