Black/Blue Spot at Back/Roof of Mouth11/11/2009 |
My brother-in-law has discovered a smooth, blackish/blue spot at the back of his mouth. On the left, top and back side. It is not painful. He has a history of melanomia (at 51 yrs old) on his arm, which was removed. What could this discoloration be?
Unfortunately it is not really possible to make a diagnosis based upon a description in this forum. If there is any concern, this should be evaluated by an otolaryngologist (ENT) specialist or oral surgeon.
