My wife had a severe back pain ten days ago and doctor advised to take bed rest for 10 days. After that MRI is taken and summary of the report is as follows: The MRI of L S Spine indicated the following: MRI of LS Pine reveals loss of normal lordosis. Osteophytes are seen from L4 to S1 Vertebrae. IV Discs between L1-L2, L4-L5 and L5-S1 show alter signal intensity hypo on T2 due to disc dessication. A radial tear is seen at the posterior aspect of L4-L5. Generalized disc bulge with posterior central type of disc protrusion are seeen at L4-L5 and L5-S1 levels causing copromisation of anterior thecal space. The neural formina are mildly narrowed on both sids of L4-L5 and L5-S1. No abnromal Pre-paravertebral soft tissue is seen. Visualized cord & conus appear normal. Both SI joints are unremarkable. AP diameters: D12-L1=17, L1-L2=16; L2-L3=17, L3-L4=17; L4-L5=10; L5-S1= 10. Impression: M of LS Spine suggests degenerative disc disease mosly effecting L4-L5 and L5-S1 Levels.

What are the steps to be taken to prevent recurrence. Also what should be done to restore normal conditions.
