Knot under the skin in front of the ear12/11/2009 |
My daughter is 14 and very active in sports. Yesterday she noticed a knot under the skin, on the back of the cheek, in front of the ear. It is sore. This morning the knot seems to be bigger. She feels fine otherwise. What could this be and do I need to take her to the doctor to have it checked out? She has not had her ear pierced. Thank you
She needs to see an otolaryngologist as soon as possible (definitely before the weekend). She may just have an infection and need antibiotics.
