Testicle Removal to Assist Prostate Cancer

07/23/2010

Question:

I read the article about removing both testicles for testosterone reduction. Q: Could one testicle be removed, reducing testosterone production. Hormone therapy, with EBRT and “seed” implants? Thanks.

Answer:

Removing one testicle will not reduce the testosterone. The remaining testicle will still produce normal levels of testosterone.
